We'll be co-starring with the amazing Balkan band Fanfare Zambaletta and the day will be filled with sessions, workshops, song circles, dance classes and more... a sweet taste of the legendary Mendocino Lark Camp...
This is a special al fresco WTD show up in the lovely hills above Redwood City at the (mostly) private Emerald Lake Country Club. Open to all, the show will overlook the lake — do visit the Club's website for photos of the setting. It's pretty awesome. Bringing lawn chairs isn't a bad idea, though...
The Occidental Center is a gorgeous outdoor amphitheatre in the rolling countryside just north of Sebastopol. This is a sweet, sleepy little town that's too often overlooked, but home to culture and a couple of fine restaurants. We'll be playing an afternoon concert with plenty of room for lounging and or dancing, as you prefer....
The festival runs all weekend, Friday through Sunday, with many fabulous acts on multiple stages in one of the coolest settings ever for a music festival! Wake the Dead plays Friday in the late afternoon. Other acts include Los Lobos, The Wailin' Jennys, Old Blind Dogs, Miko Marks, Rainbow Girls, Crys Matthews, and tons more!
St. Columba's Episcopal Church is a lovely, out-of-the-way venue in West Marin, and WTD will be playing there for the first time this summer. We'll be in the outdoor amphitheatre in the beautiful late afternoon. Refreshments will be available for sale. Note: admission is cash only (shades of the 20th century).
